The RUST FREE POWDER is necessary for the protection of the adjacent reinforcement of concrete due to either carbonation or in incomplete χυτεύσεις and damage from an earthquake. Also, it is recommended that the preventive application of particularly thin walls of concrete, for the protection of the steel reinforcement, in an environment of permanent moisture. It is suitable as a bonding agent between old and new concrete.

HOW TO USE

1. Surface preparation

Reinforcing steel: Clean the weapons from rust, dust, grease in grade Sa2 ½ a according to DIN 55928-4.

Concrete: surfaces to be free from loose particles, dust, oil, and thoroughly wetted.

2. Application

Add the RUST FREE POWDER in water at a ratio, RUST FREE POWDER: water, 4:1 by volume, stirring until a homogenous mass without lumps, so the gel so that it stands on the brush without dripping.

As a corrosion resistant coating

The material is applied with a brush in two coats to a thickness of 1mm with a difference of 2-3 hours between them.

In concrete surfaces

Followed the same way, after having removed the loose areas and preceded by a thorough soaking.

As a bonding bridge

The coating of the material thickness 2 mm, must be fresh during the combination of old and new concrete or mortar.

CONSUMPTION

As corrosion protection of reinforcement: 70-120 gr/m weapons

As a bonding layer: 2 kg/m2
